Meet Our AMAZING tenaya way Team

Avi Anderson

Clinical Social Worker Intern, CSW-I

I believe that it is important to focus on the “here and now” and to use the therapeutic relationship to help the client grow, to help clients to be more open and vulnerable in the relationships that they cherish, and to help clients live lives consistent with their dreams, aspirations, and values. We will find an approach that works for your specific aptitudes & strengths, and we will address your unique challenges. In a way we are all different, but we are also all the same. My goal and my passion is to develop a therapeutic relationship with each and every client as an individual — to help you articulate what is on your heart and mind, and to help you actualize your potential.

Darlene Zepp

Clinical Social Worker Intern, CSW-I

I am passionate about working with individuals, families, and groups from all backgrounds, including the military community. I have experience addressing concerns surrounding anxiety, depression, major life adjustments, maternal health, relational conflicts, and trauma. I graduated from Wilmington University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and continued my education and graduated from Troy University with a Master of Social Work in Direct Practice.

My time in the military helped me develop my communication, leadership, and organizational skills. I have been fortunate to live worldwide, which has increased my cultural competency, and I found interest in family therapy in addressing generational trauma. I am familiar with the stress of military life, including deployments and military moves, and I would like to help others make the best of their military experience.

Dante Richmann

Clinical Professional Counselor Intern, CPC-I

Born and raised in Las Vegas, I found my passion for mental health early on in my college career. Having earned my Master of Counseling in Clinical Mental Health, I feel that mental health is an important aspect in an individual’s life, and I am determined to make the necessary strides to help others. Life can be challenging for us all and requires certain tools to find the strength to navigate these challenges. It is my priority to work with others to help determine successful tools and outcomes for my clients. I thrive on creating special bonds with my clients and finding their own unique paths to healing at their own pace. In my free time, I love to learn about other cultures, explore the benefits of cognitive health, read, and spend time with my loved ones.

Azure Alex

Marriage & Family Therapist Intern, MFT-I

I have been on the receiving side of therapy and when I say that was one of the best things that I could have done. Being able to unload and unpack feelings that I held inside for years because I did not feel safe just talking to family or friends was the best thing I could have done. There was a huge weight that was lifted off me that I did not feel from just talking to family and friends.

Throughout my professional life from Social Work, to being a Probation Officer and now entering into the field of therapy I can honestly say that I wish I would have started this journey years ago. However, my life experiences plus my 18 years of working in the Human Services field has provided me with a clearer understanding of various individuals and backgrounds. During these past 18 years the passion that I developed for working with others has continued to grow more and more because of the amazing people that I help.

Liezl Taligatos

Clinical Professional Counselor Intern, CPC-I

Having worked as a substance use counselor since the beginning of the pandemic, I understood the importance of medication-assisted treatment and harm reduction approaches alongside counseling. I saw how counseling made such a big impact on a person, especially for someone dealing with addictions. Taking care of our mental health is important, whether we are dealing with big changes or just unloading some of the struggles that we experience daily. Therapy can help us learn how to have better relationships, set healthy boundaries, and help us have a healthy work- life balance.

Matthew Maanao

Graduate Student Intern

I specialize in helping those struggling with trauma, anxiety, and communication difficulties. As a former behavior specialist, I’ve developed a knack for working with teens and guiding couples to reconnect. I value working with clients who are committed to growth and self-betterment. Inspired by Kobe’s mindset, I believe in helping individuals realize their potential and achieve meaningful change in their lives and relationships. I specialize in psychodynamic therapy, experiential therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Internal Family Systems. With over 3 years of experience in behavioral health, I’ve helped individuals and families using a holistic, biopsychosocial approach. As an MFT graduate student working toward dual licensure, I aim to help clients understand their struggles. I understand that reaching out for help can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to go through it alone. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, past trauma, relationship struggles, or just feeling stuck, I’m here to listen and guide you toward meaningful change. Therapy is a space where we can work together to help you heal, grow, and achieve your goals.
