Bethany Kammert

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, LMFT

Like the Hokey Pokey, change is essential in order to “turn ourselves around”, but finding a therapist that clicks can be problematic. When it comes to any type of change, even therapeutic, the greatest factor is the relationship between therapist and the client. Bethany describes her practice as honest, genuine, while being direct. She tries to create a comfortable and caring atmosphere. She works with individuals, couples, and families, to create a new perspective and insight in order to reach optimal results.

Bethany graduated from California Baptist University with a MA in Psychology. She grew up in Northern California and moved to Nevada in 2016. She considers herself to be a nerd; whether that is in terms of Disney, Dungeons and Dragons, or video games – she loves “nerd culture”! So much so that her two cats have Disney namesakes, Kronk from The Emporers New Groove and Kida after Princess Kida from Atlantis.

Bethany uses an integrative approach to offer you more effective tools that can make your life and relationships much more functional and rewarding. Her approach is primarily navigating communication pitfalls within relationships and rebuilding strong foundations on emotional intimacy, vulnerability, and solid communication skills. She works with life struggles such as anxiety, depression, codependency, emotional trauma and spiritual shaming. She works with individuals, couples, teens, children ages 8+.

Stacey Jones

My area of specialty is working with women with anxiety and stress-management. I offer a safe, nonjudgmental, and collaborative approach, working with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Working together, we will discuss the goals you would like to accomplish in therapy and take the necessary steps to achieve your goals. I typically assign activities between scheduled sessions that we can discuss during the following session. I have found clients enjoy having resources outside of being in session. I have also found providing telehealth (video) therapy to be very beneficial for clients. I incorporate mindfulness techniques, which offer numerous benefits, such as reduction of anxiety, stress, and improvement in relationships, just to name a few.

Gloria Jarvis

Clinical Social Worker/Therapist, CSW-I.

I discovered the helping field would be my professional journey white obtaining my undergraduate degree in criminal justice at the University of Nevada, Reno. After starting my career, I went back to obtain my Master’s in social work at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Since 2015, I have worked with welfare systems, housing insecurities programs, and school districts. I believe that experiences and events that occur in our lives do not have to define who we are but what we choose to make with it. I believe that therapy is not “one-size-fits-all:” but rather a more individualized, you-centered approach. I work with adolescents (14+), adults, and families with a wide variety of issues including anxiety, depression, life transitions, LGBTQ+, and trauma/PTSD.

Brittany Johnson

Clinical Social Work Intern, CSW-I.

While pursuing my undergraduate degree, I found myself drawn to helping people in need. I was a member of AmeriCorps and briefly worked for a nonprofit that mentored at-risk youth. I struggled with an eating disorder for about a decade. Through my own therapeutic journey, I discovered the healing powers of yoga. I then became a registered yoga instructor and focused my practice on helping people love their bodies as they are as well as connecting the mind and body through movement.

After I obtained my Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of California, Los Angeles, I pursued life coaching. I wanted to help people who had gone through trauma figure out who they were after the healing that came with therapy- a feeling I knew all too well as I had also experienced this phenomenon after personally going through both eating disorder recovery and trauma therapy. I received my Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California. During my practicum I became Certified Trauma Professional so I could acquire the specific knowledge and tools to help those who had gone through trauma.

My therapeutic philosophy is to utilize a strengths-based approach to help you see that you have everything within you to heal. I am simply the scaffolding supporting you while you are on your journey to liberation. If I can create a space for my client to feel seen and safe without judgment, I know I have done my job.
